Highcliffe Bowling Club was formed in 1975 “on a magnificent site, quite unique in bowling circles, in Nea Meadow.” (Sheila D. Herringshaw, A Portrait of Highcliffe) At the beginning of the 2008 season the club leased the pavilion and green from the local authority. This change has given the club a new impetus with a fresh approach. Now that we have taken over the responsibility for the maintenance of the green its condition is comparable with that of other local clubs and we welcome visiting and touring teams. Club events are organized throughout the year and include: coffee mornings; quiz nights; BBQ’s; skittles; carpet bowls; outings; parties and dinners. Later this year there will be a holiday in Ireland. The club is licensed and facilities include disabled access. |
